Staghorn Ferns are a species called Epiphyte which means that they don't need soil to grow. Instead they attach themselves to other plants and trees, signs and fence posts, even rocks. Ferns, orchids and other epiphytic plants take their moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, water or from debris accumulating around it. Lucky for us, many of these species make beautiful living wall art.
