Epiphytic plants are the ones that have roots, but don’t grow in soil. Instead they attach themselves to other plants and trees, signs and fence posts, even rocks. Epiphytic plants take their moisture and nutrients from the air, rain, water or from debris accumulating around it. Lucky for us, many of these species make beautiful living wall art, requiring minimal care and space.
During this hands-on class, you will make your very own plant mount, choosing from a variety of plants, fresh moss and your choice of cork or a rustic, reclaimed wooden plank..
This workshop will include all of the materials for mounting, an epiphyte of your choosing, and care instructions to keep it alive and thriving.
