In this workshop geared for the beginner, attendees will try out a variety of ways in which to use watercolor while experimenting with the medium. We’ll begin by swatching colors and then move to ways in which to work with this rogue and therefore exciting medium. Summer will talk about the tools of the trade (and bring examples) including: brushes, paper, and the many forms of watercolor paint.
Attendees will leave the workshop with the knowledge to buy materials suited to each individual’s taste. Finally, students will have the chance — if they so choose — to draw plants in the shop, or trace images, and paint them for a finished piece to take home.
